Vintage Tibetan “Gau” silver pendant adorned with turquoise howlite inlay and a coral accent bead, originates from a Tibetan Prayer Box. Traditionally, handwritten prayers were placed inside the box to ensure healing and protection.
The striking pendant is hand strung on smooth 3mm coral beads with a smattering of silver nuggets.
Turquoise howlite is known to be a stone of strength and protection. The gentle stone reduces anger and can aid the throat chakra in opening the third eye. Coral imparts courage and helps overcome fear and anxiety. Coral beads were considered a sign of wealth and status in many tribal cultures.
